AFIIA HOLDS SUCCESSFUL AFIIA WEEK EVENTS 2024 IN ARUSHA – TANZANIA 15 – 19 APRIL 2024
AFIIA is the regional body and associated organization of the Global Institute of Internal Auditors. It consists of Institutes of Internal Auditors from various African countries. AFIIA, among others, seeks to create opportunities for networking, sharing of knowledge and expertise among affiliate institute members; and create relationships with stakeholders and other bodies to improve governance.
This year’s AFIIA Conference themed “Beyond Boundaries: Make the Difference”, was held in Arusha, Tanzania and was preceded by the Governance Forum and the AFIIA University/Workshop. These three exciting and well-designed distinct events were successfully organized and attended by over 1,000 delegates from across the world. The AFIIA week Events 2024 were inaugurated by the Honourable Saada Mkuya Salum – Minister of Finance in Zanzibar. The 10th AFIIA Conference was officiated by His Excellence Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Phillip Isidor Mpango. The AFIIA Week Events 2024 were graced by several renowned speakers including Madam Sally Anne Pitt, Chairman of the IIA Global, Mr. Anthony Pugliese – CEO and President of the IIA Global, Prof. PLO Lumumba, Mr. Abdulqader Obaid Ali – UAE IAA Board Chairman, Prof. Mohamed Janabi – Executive Director, Muhimbili National Hospital in Tanzania and many others.
